When individuals in the workplace are fired because of their age, it falls under the category of age discrimination — something that is prohibited under both California and federal employment laws. Salary isn’t the only basis of ageism in the workplace. A recent study conducted by psychologists at Princeton University looked at what they consider the other side of ageism.
